Isn't it interesting how the press always makes the Cheney shooting look worse than it is. I mean, I saw the headline "Cheney Victim Has Heart Attack" http://www.caycompass.com/cgi-bin/CFPnews.cgi?ID=1011097

-- well, that was explaining that the guy the birdshot hit had a heart spasm because one of the pellets hit the heart. Pretty typical, and pretty routine.

And how's this for a headline? "KILLER CHENEY"
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ucwb/20060217/cm_ucwb/killercheney;_ylt=A86.I1wxb_ZDoTQBLhb9wxIF;_ylu=X3oDMTBjMHVqMTQ4BHNlYwN5bnN1YmNhdA--

And all this angst about it took 18 hours for the press to be notified ...
1) isn't that what reporters are for -- to go out and GET the story??
2) I wonder how long it took for l'affaire Lewinsky aka the most notorious case of sexual harassment in American history to hit the news wires.
